The Parmigianer is an artistic and narrative project that aims to promote the culture, landscape and general beauty of the city of Parma (Italy) through illustration.
My illustration is about the Parma river, which shares its name with the city that hosts it. A waterway that crosses the old city and some of its most iconic places.
Besides being a place full of history, it is one of the vital centers of the city where the people of Parma love to spend their free time with long walks in the shade of the trees.
Fine art prints of my illustrations are available for purchase here on the official eshop of The Parmigianer.
“A liquid mosaic of broken lights, fragments of gold tremble as the wind passes. There is always something suspended in the air, you can feel it!
The stream has seen everything, it knows the voices of time, the escapes, the returns, the flood and the desert. There is a man, his dog, both are out to be carried. Sometimes he stops, looks at his master. The sun is high in the sky and follows him without haste. How many things can we appreciate by observing the flow of the current, a dog running? Maybe none. Maybe for an instant touch all the things of the world and then immediately forget the mystery.”
